1) The CSA is easier.
2) You may be able to make plants grow in the shade on the north side of the house, but you can't make them like it.
I was going to have a big old "LiZ Grew A Tomato!" party, because no matter how pathetic (pretty pathetic) and how small (pretty small) my tomoto was, I did, after all, grow it. So, I picked the tomato, admired it on my windowsill for a few days, and then went to pick up my CSA, which provided me with an abundance of delicious, large, exotic-looking heirloom tomotoes. I put the CSA tomatoes in the tomato-bowl on the table, and put my pathetic home-grown tomato on the top, allowing it to pretend for a moment that it was the tomato-bowl's crowning glory.
Then I had some friends over and we made salsa.

Last Sunday's Epistle belonged on a t-shirt, or an inspirational mug, or one of those really aweosme square greeting cards that says just the right thing in someone else's words, and I mean that with the absolute minimal amount of snark.
I particularly like the bit at the end about "so far as it depends on you, live peacably with all"

It may be growing in an icebucket,
staked with a piece of metal I found in my creepy basement,
tied up with neon pink string,
living on a concrete patio
