Since July 2003 St. Thomas has operated the Caroline Food Pantry. Although St. Thomas is one of the smallest parishes in the diocese it has grown its volunteer base to include many without church connections, including Pantry clients.
Food comes from many sources, including local residents and farmers, local organizations and CSAs, schools and churches. Most of the food is purchased from the Food Bank of the Southern Tier using funds from grants, fundraisers, and donations.
The Food Pantry operates on the first and third Mondays of every month, provides a wide range of choices for clients, and includes delivery to those who cannot get to the Pantry. Non-food services include clothing, kitchen supplies, school supplies and books. The Family Reading Partnership operates the Bright Red Bookshelf.

St. Luke's Episcopal Church
St. Luke's is blessed with an abundance of land surrounding our late fifties church and education wing, Including a 35 X40 foot area along the back corner of our lot. After months of discussion we have begun to answer God's call to make this plot fruitful for the feeding of the community. In three to five years we hope to build and plant five 20 by four foot raised beds. The beds will vary in what they will produce. Two will be reserved for summer vegetables, two for spring and fall produce and one will provide gardening opportunities for the children in our day care. This garden will produce watermelon, tomatoes and pumpkins.
